WHO EU Referendum Truth and Reconciliation Thread
It's all over now. Some of us are flailing about and spitting out our dummies, while others are managing their disappointment with maturity and dignity. Some of us are unexpectedly celebrating this first important step towards lancing a boil that has been giving them jip for 30 years.

A lot of spiteful things have been said between us, and maybe it's time to accept our wrongdoings and make good. It's what Twitter would want. So I propose we all apologise to one another. Pick one from the opposing team, confess your sin towards that individual and say sorry.

I'll go first.

Northern Sold. I am sorry for secretly, yet fervently, wishing a series of anal gland infections on your dog, and for him to scoot it across your carpet.

I didn't have any particular dog in this fight but I decided to vote leave out of petty spite.

That sort of rhymed. Go me.

I chose to vote remain in the fairest, most democratically representative vote this country has had for years. I lost, so what. I have nothing to apologise for.

No shame at all.

Should be admired really, but it won't be.

Re: WHO EU Referendum Truth and Reconciliation Thread
I didn't vote.

I attended various seminars in the city over the past few months, and every single one said that under no circumstances should we vote to leave. Also, my job could be affected. As such, I had always intended to vote remain.

Until this week, when I tuned into the live debates. The leave campaign had a positive message that we have the talent and skills to be successful. The remain campaign were shouty, abusive, smug, Sneering, condescending fucking wankers who had no points to argue other than calling anyone who didn't agree with them racist. Their stupidity only surpassed by their arrogance. In short, they were the left.

Their reaction today has proved me - and countless others who did the same, or who switched sides late on - to be absolutely correct.

Sorry Ratched son, but I'm not sorry, they brought it on themselves. Again

Totally agree with your comments about the shouty remainers stewie, and I include my own sister among them.

Re: WHO EU Referendum Truth and Reconciliation Thread
Well done the Leave Voters. Enjoy you weekend wearing your Union Jack t-shirts and proclaiming that you have Britain back. Little-Englanders, have fun. COme back in a few years when you still don't have jobs (you can't blame the Polish then...not as if you got up at 4am to pick fruit yourself, but that's by the by). Come back when you're mortgages have shot up, you're house price has dropped or, if neither applies to you, jobs are more scarce. But so what, we've got our identity back!! Oh, and come back and say it was a sucess when the UK splits up!!

Anyway, that's what you've done. more worrying is-

MUSE. I've just watched this uber group at 'Glasto' - can't see it. not Depeche Mode, not Radiohead either (I met Thom Yorke at Reading station once). And Stafffies are still being persecuted, like Alsations, Dobermans and Rotties were in the 70s and 80s....

End of the day wheels spin, but does any of it matter. More to life than this so who cares..

:-) When you DIE you will realise that NONE of the above matters.

If everyone lived the life of Jesus the world would be much nicer.

And PS - Get a Staffie.

:-) Love you all

Was the naval battle on the Thames between Nigel Farage and Bob Geldof the most surreal incident in British politics ever?

Re: WHO EU Referendum Truth and Reconciliation Thread
Johnson, enjoy the fruits of your vote. job or not. A lot of the discontent was tapped into in this country, with the EU to blame.

Nothing to do with the domestic government at all, no of course it wasn't..

None of it really matters anyway, at the end of our 3 score yrs. People have been through much worse than we will.
